Have you ever seen an excavator that is higher than a 3-storey building? The 700-ton hydraulic excavator, known as the “Largest Excavator of China”, rolls off the production line at Xugong Group on April 2nd. It is the largest tonnage hydraulic excavator independently developed in China, breaking the monopoly of foreign brands in the field of large complete set of mining machinery.
General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out on his inspection to Xugong Group, “Foreign countries will never provide you with the basic but key technology, no matter how hard you request them, just like asking a tiger for its skin, so we should be patient and determined to seek development by ourselves. It is innovation-driven.”
The Xugong 700-ton hydraulic excavator, known as the "Largest Excavator of China”, is driven by two 1700-horsepower motors, which exceeds the power of two 99-type main battle tanks. The product weighs as much as 500 ordinary cars. The total body length is 23.5 meters and close to that of the largest creature on Earth, the adult blue whale. The bucket width is 5 meters, and the bucket capacity is 34 cubic meters. A bucket digs more than 50 tons of coal. The maximum pushing force of the bucket reaches 243 tons and the bucket lever reaches 230 tons. Xugong 700- ton hydraulic excavator can match with Xugong 240-ton or 300- ton mining dumpers. The group of "mining giants" can complete more than 30,000 tons of coal loading and transportation tasks in 8 hours. The high operation efficiency is undoubtedly a major breakthrough for China's mining industry.
This 700-ton hydraulic excavator is not only the "Largest Tonnage of China". It adopts a dual-powered coupling control system, high-pressure system intelligent monitoring and fault self-diagnosis technology, modular dual-power hydraulic drive system, self-filling and self-adaptive chassis tightening system and many other unique technologies, with 52 independent patterns. It, for the first time, has realized a breakthrough in the centralized application of key technologies in the field of super-large hydraulic excavators of China, marking that China has become the fourth country in the world with the technology development and manufacturing capacity of hydraulic excavators above 700 tons, following Germany, Japan and the United States. Taybo Technology has developed a complete set of air conditioning system tailored for this large equipment.
